what happen’s to old stamps when the post office does not sell all of them?
If there is a collectable stamp or past stamp that does not sell out where do they go? Does the post office just keep them untill someone buys them. Even if they have a date/timeline to use by like the federal duck stamps?
I am a retired postal worker. The last 20 years I was a carrier, but for the first several years I occasionally worked as a clerk and sold stamps. When the postage rate increased, Lets say from $.14 to $.15. I would sell the $.14 stamps I had in my drawer with a $.01 to be used together on each envelope.
